WPMU DEV Shipper Pro

This article provides an in-depth examination of the migration options offered by Shipper Pro, as well as instructions on how to relocate a single website, a multisite network, or a subsite to a new location, as well as how to relocate the subsite to a single website. Both of these straightforward approaches to website migration are provided by the Shipper Pro plugin.

  1. API Migration – With just one click, you can automate the export and import of data while maintaining a secure connection between servers.
  2. Package Migration – Create a package of a website and download it in a format that enables it to be easily moved to a different server location.

You may easily access usage instructions on various features by using the Index, which is located on the left.

If you have not yet installed Shipper, you should go to the Shipper Pro page as soon as as. On this page, you will be able to learn more about the plugin’s numerous capabilities, and WPMU DEV members will be able to install it on any linked site.

Shipper Dashboard

Make a copy of the chapter anchor on your clipboard.

The Shipper Dashboard gives you a concise summary of recent migrations, information about the two main types of migration (API migration and Package migration), and convenient connections to the most frequently used settings panels.

Your WordPress website, Multisite network, or subsite will be compressed into a zip file via the Package Migration module, allowing for easy manual relocation to a new location.

There are two options available in the Package Migration menu:

  1. Package
  2. Settings

Click the “Create Package” button when you access the Package menu item for the very first time. This will bring up the Shipper Package wizard modal.

You’ll note that there is a reminder on this screen to set Safe Mode on the Package Settings page in order to assist in preventing the failure of Package Migration as a result of a limited server on big sites. For further information about this function, please refer to the Safe Mode.
