Popup Maker – Scroll Triggered Popups
This extension makes a Scroll trigger available to users, which allows users to show a popup when visitors approach or pass a particular point on the screen. The trigger can be configured to display a popup based on either the vertical scroll distance or the interaction with either a shortcode or an HTML page element. Both of these conditions can also be met simultaneously.
Distance option units include:
- percent ( % ),
- pixels ( px ), or
- rem.
The latter measure, known as “rem,” is calculated using the relative font-size that is specified in the stylesheet of a website.
The element settings check the content of a post, page, or custom post type to see if it contains an integrated shortcode or a CSS selector. Popup Maker is responsible for registering the shortcode, which must be inserted within the editor for the relevant post, page, or custom post type.
The CSS Selector method, in addition to the Extra CSS Selectors method that is utilized by the Click Open trigger, is capable of identifying HTML attributes that are embedded within a post or website. An introduction to the application of that technique can be found by following the link to the related article below.
