In contrast to Fuzzy Matches, LIKE Terms does not even attempt any type of primitive spell checking. This is helpful if you want to enable partial matching of terms without exposing close spelling variants, which can cause performance problems under certain conditions. If you do this, you can avoid exposing close spelling variants.
