This gateway extension supports both PayPal Payments Pro and PayPal Express Checkout, giving you more options for taking payments. Customers can input their credit card information without leaving your site when using PayPal Pro to buy digital downloads, which improves the customer experience and increases your conversion rate. Using PayPal Express at checkout is very identical to using PayPal standard; the only difference is that it is more secure.

In-Context Checkout

Only PayPal Express can be used with In-Context Payment. In-Context Checking requires two configurations before it can be used. Both of these can be found in the Downloads settings under Payment Gateways.

1. The “PayPal Express In-Context Payment” checkbox must be selected.
2. In addition, you’ll need to supply your active PayPal Business ID.

The In-Context Checkout process calls for a vendor ID. If you have your merchant Number and need to check it, simply visit https://www.paypal.com. To access your Business Profile’s preferences, click the profile icon in the upper right corner of the page, and then click Profile and settings. (If you don’t see a profile picture up top, pick the My Account tab and then click Profile from the menu that displays.) Merchant account ID can be seen in the profile items list to the right after clicking My company data on the left.

API Keys

It is necessary for you to input API keys on the settings page of the Gateway in order for Website Payments Pro or the Express Gateway to function properly. To access the keys for your PayPal account, navigate to your PayPal account and then select the Profile tab.

This will start a new window in a pop-up format. To access your API credentials, select the Credentials option. You will see two API tokens for the Live environment and two for the Test environment. In the administration panel for your Easy Digital Downloads account, navigate to Downloads > Settings > Payment Gateways and copy those information.

Sure it does! Despite this, it is not possible for consumers who have PayPal accounts in Germany to use PayPal to purchase subscriptions.

2. Does this plugin support In-Context Checkout?

Sure it does! The In-Context Checkout for PayPal Express has been available since version 1.4, and it can be activated from the Payment Gateways settings tab. Please be aware that the In-Context feature does not work with Recurring Purchases.

3. Which countries does this extension support?
