What is the MainWP Boilerplate Extension

The use of boilerplate provides you with the ability to rapidly create, modify, and delete pages or posts that are repetitive across your network of child sites.

You are able to personalize these pages for each site by using the placeholders (Tokens) that are accessible. The Boilerplate extension is the ideal solution for pages that are frequently repeated, such as your “Privacy Policy,” “About Us” page, “Terms of Use” page, “Support Policy” page, or any other page that contains standard text that you need to disseminate throughout your network.

How does Boilerplate Extension Work

After installing the extension, you will have the ability to generate individualized placeholders, also known as “Tokens,” for use in the posts and sites that are most frequently accessed. You need to enter values for the tokens for every one of your child sites. When you have finished setting everything up, you can construct a single page with these placeholders on it and then post that page to any and all websites that you want. On each of the child sites, the corresponding placeholders will be substituted with the site’s specific custom values.

Your entire collection of Boilerplate Pages and Posts will be saved and made completely editable. You will be able to modify a page on one or more of your websites at the same time with only a few mouse strokes.
