SearchWP Term Highlight
When on, Term Emphasize will automatically scrub the material that is returned from searches and will wrap search phrases with a span. This gives you the ability to highlight search terms in a manner that is harmonious with the design of your website. In addition, Term Highlight comes equipped with a capability that enables you to obtain, from the post’s content, an excerpt that contains at least one of the search phrases you entered. Please see the usage below. The installation process for this Extension is exactly the same as the installation process for all other Extensions. You will need to upload the plugin just like you would any other WordPress plugin after downloading the zip file from your account. The Term Highlight plugin will be available for activation in the Plugins list of the WordPress administration area once it has been installed. Once active, the Term Highlight plugin will highlight terms automatically within The Loop for native WordPress searches. To apply highlights, just include terms in brackets (), which you can then target with your style sheet.
