The highlight.js JavaScript utility is used by the wpDiscuz Syntax Highlighter addon for the purpose of displaying formatted source code in the comment content. This addon supports almost all programming languages including Apache, Bash, C#, C++, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, Java, JavaScript, Objective-C, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, SQL, Basic, Delphi, Erlang, Matlab, Prolog, ScalaScheme, Swift, TypeScript, VB.NET, Shell with dozens of different syntax highlighting styles.

Using the [/>] code toolbar button in the comment editor, your commenters will be able to incorporate a variety of scripts and codes if you have this addon installed. You are able to modify the highlighting style as well as activate or disable specific programming languages through the settings for the dashboard.
